Japanese Car
Auctions
The Japanese are truly a remarkable people.
They have grown their country’s economy at exponential
rates since the Second World War. Many entrepreneurs in
the western world have criticized their style of doing
business. They are known for taking successful, proven
business models that work in the US and duplicating it
with a greater amount of success. They do this because of
their exceptionally productive (and relatively cheap)
workforce.
This has
(and many other reasons) resulted in Japan growing the
largest automobile industry in the world. They have an
industry unlike any other and are fiercely competitive in
the global marketplace. Well known ‘household’ Japanese
vehicle brands include:
-
Nissan
-
Mitsubishi
-
Mazda
-
Toyota
(includes Lexus)
-
Isuzu
-
Subaru

This is just
really a tip of the ‘Japanese car market iceberg’. There
are many more. With all these well known, trusty cars you
can easily imagine why Japanese cars are so very popular
here in the US.
Although the
American consumers are very patriotic, they are also bent
on getting what they want. It sometimes seems that the
Japanese car manufacturers have a better idea what the
American consumers want than the US producers. I say that
with great caution of course, because no one will take my
precious Ford Escape from me!
There are a
number of ways where you can buy Japanese cars. You can
go to your local dealer, go online to car websites such
as Autotrader, the classifieds, etc.
For me
however, one of the best ways to buy these types of makes
and models are at Japanese car auctions. Here you have
one of two options. Either you can fly all the way to
Japan and attend one of the many local Japanese car
auctions in Tokyo, Osaka or any of their other major
cities. This option has its inherent problems,
principally the need that you will have to import the
vehicle back to the US. This is hassle.
On the other
hand you can simply attend a local auction in the US
where there will be Japanese vehicles put up for sale. My
suggestion is the latter option!
Whether you
attend an auction by a financial institution, a
government auction or any other, you’re very likely to
find Japanese cars. Although the US government mostly
buys American products they do also purchase foreign
manufactured goods. This includes Japanese
cars.
Then there’s
also the multitude of confiscated Japanese cars that a
variety of US government agencies auctions every year.
These government auctions of Japanese cars are renowned
for providing excellent bargains to consumers. The cars
are generally very well-looked after and, if you work
through a government auction website, you’ll
also get the vehicles with clean
titles.
Japanese car
auctions are a good option to consider for your next
vehicle purchase. The cars are great quality and the
savings at these auctions are many times
gigantic.
