Government and Police Auctions

Hello everyone,

I’ve started this website as a resource for anybody that is involved, or thinking of getting involved, in government and police auctions. This is the product of countless hours of research, years of trial and error and simply good old experience in dealing with auctions of pretty much any kind.

At the outset, let me give you a brief overview on these auctions. The government with all its various layers consist of agencies and departments on a federal, state, county and local city council level. Collectively they own their own property, which includes vehicles, equipment and real estate.

Over time this property is no longer needed by the relevant agency in the delivery of their service to the community and is therefore being auctioned off.

Some agencies also are tasked with the function of confiscating property from citizens due to involvement in criminal activities, failure to pay taxes and a range of other reasons. This gives rise to the need to auction these items as well.

Here’s a great place to look for upcoming and live auctions (these include government, police and other commercial).

Comprehensive Government Auction Listings

All of these events create an opportunity for guys like us to buy these valuables at a fraction of their true market price. Reason being that the government and police departments simply aren’t concerned with getting the highest possible price for the goods.

As you most probably know by now, this can however be a tricky game.

This is where this website comes in very handy – helping you to make sense of the ins and outs of ‘the trade’. When I first started out, finding suitable public auction events was the hardest part for me. This is the case for most of us. There are countless government agencies and police department that conduct auction events daily across the country. Most, if not all of them, will result in BIG savings for you – the bidder. Finding them can be nothing short of a chore.

With this is in mind, I’ll share my thoughts on how to do this as quickly as possible. The fact is that if you want to be successful in securing those massive bargains at government and police auctions, you’ll need to focus less of your time on finding the best auctions and more of your time on doing research and prep work on the products available at the auction. This is working smart, and pretty much a sure-fire way to auction riches.

A few people still question if there’s really good money to be made at these auctions. The simple truth is that despite the claim made by some that these auctions are merely hyped up and doesn’t have the big price reductions, the reality is that every day thousands of entrepreneurs and consumers ‘make a killing’ at government auctions. If you follow the correct strategy, this can be you also.

On this website I share some of my own experiences with the different auction types. If you’re just starting out, read about how auctions are conducted, how they’re generally announced to the public and the procedures to follow in order to register and participate. If you’ve been in the game for a while you’ll perhaps benefit from some of the bidding strategies I’ve learned over time to squeeze out that extra bit of profit (or saving) at the auction.

Among the many things I cover:

  • Advice on pitfalls in the process
  • Where to find commercial, government and police auctions in your area in the quickest way possible
  • A blueprint for a successful auction strategy
  • An effective research strategy before the day of the auction
  • Many more tips!

I hope my knowledge will help you to also make a big success in your very next auction.
